Tracy Arensberg

Wy’East (Grade 3 and 4) teacher

Tracy Arensberg is an accomplished educator with 10 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. He has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College and a Bachelor of Science from The Evergreen State College. His teaching internship was at Catlin Gabel School. Tracy has taught in schools throughout the Pacific Northwest, including a rural Alaskan school and served as a charter faculty at a new independent school in California.

He has been described as a teacher who is a “Pied Piper” with his students and a person whom parents trust and respect. Although science and math instruction is Tracy’s forte, he has also developed and taught curriculum in language arts and social studies. In other work, Tracy has been a science museum educator, wildlife biologist, and water quality specialist.
Tracy is a biker, hiker, birder and kayaker. He is a naturalist with interest and expertise in Pacific Northwest plants and birds. He lives in Portland with his wife, Hannah, and daughter, Teal.
