Affording The Gardner School

The Gardner School is an investment in your child’s future and requires careful financial planning. We are dedicated to helping applicants find the resources they need to afford an education at The Gardner School.

The purpose of financial aid is to assist families who would not otherwise have the resources to attend The Gardner School. The School’s need-based financial assistance program supports our mission to provide the best educational environment to children of diverse backgrounds and interests. From its beginning, the school has been dedicated to building a student body that reflects diversity in all its forms and this desire is as strong today as it was when the school was founded in 1995.

Applying for Financial Aid
The Gardner School is a member of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. SSS assists independent schools in determining a family’s financial need. Parents must complete an online Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) in order to be considered for financial aid. All financial aid is based on financial need; need is based on the income and assets of both parents and is determined by SSS. Their determination helps The Gardner School make fair and objective Financial Aid Awards. These awards are made by The Gardner School Financial Aid Committee in mid-April and families are informed of awards sometime in early May. The maximum amount of financial aid on tuition that our school can offer is 50% and is available to parents with children in Grade 1 through Grade 8.

Please go to sss.nais.org and click on the prompt to begin your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).
